PLAYING PÉTANQUE

AND APÉRITIF

playing-petanque-in-nice-france-castle-h

Play the french game of pétanque!

We will meet at the Colline du Château (Caste Hill) in Nice, where there is a playground to play pétanque.

You have certainly already seen French people playing this ball (we say "boule") game and wondered why so many people play - now it's you turn !

I will explain you the rules, tell you about the traditions of the game and some famous anecdotes and also show you some techniques.

We will organize teams and start the contest ;) May the best win ! May we all have fun !!

While we play, you can ask me any question related to Pétanque or French culture or the city. I'm always happy to help and recommend good places to visit or activities to do.

I will prepare a little apéritif - drink and food (or late breakfast if you prefer) that we can share together at any time during or after the game.

Pétanque is a very easy and friendly game, you do not need to be good or sporty to enjoy, most of the fun comes from trying. Kids are welcome, I will also have plastic pétanque balls for them to play.

The activity is also a perfect match for Team building and Incentive.

I'll provide

  • Snacks - a little apéritif - home made pie, chips, socca, cheese - let me know your preferences or eventual allergies;

  • A drink (let me know your preference)

  • Equipment - pétanque balls

What to bring

Sunglasses and a hat to be protected from the sun if needed!

Oh, and your wonderful smile! :)

The location

On"Colline du Chateau you can admire some of the best views of Nice (great spot for pictures!) and there is also a beautiful waterfall. Here you do not hear cars, you can really relax and enjoy a nice moment under the shade of a pine tree or chilling on the lawn.
